How to apply

For incoming exchange students

To apply for courses as an exchange student you have to be nominated by your home university. Contact the international exchange coordinator at your home university to find out who can be nominated.
The application period for exchange studies during the autumn semester 2024 or full academic year 2024/2025 is 1–15 April 2024.

Each course has specific admission requirements. Please check the requirements in the course catalogue carefully. Most courses require that students have prior knowledge in the subject – at least one year of full-time studies in the subject (60 ETCS credits)  – to be eligible for admission. Our assessment of your application is based on your official transcript.

Language requirements

It is important that you have sufficient proficiency in English to be able to study the courses open to exchange students. We recommend a score of IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 90. Please check with your home university the required levels to be nominated for an exchange to Lund University.

If you have any questions about exchange studies at the Department of Service Studies you are welcome to contact the international coordinator at the department.

Application

The international coordinator at your home university will nominate students through the online application system used by Lund University. The application system will then automatically send you an email with instructions on how to log in to apply for courses and how to upload your supporting documents.

Application for accommodation is made separately.
